Tamera and JackFrom a Distance is part of a second historical trilogy (Timber Ridge Reflections) with Bethany House and is the 2009 Christy Award Winner for Best Historical Romance. This three-part series focuses on “women firsts,” women who are firsts in their fields and who helped pave the way for their modern-day contemporaries. It's a story close to Tamera's heart that captures the essence of what it means to give God your dreams and then hold on for the journey ahead.

Tamera's The Inheritance, the first historical for the WOMEN OF FAITH fiction line (Thomas Nelson), debuted on CBA's and ECPA's Bestseller lists.  The Inheritance, a standalone novel, is set in Colorado 1877 and is about a young woman's struggle to let go of her independence while she also discovers an inheritance beyond her imagining. Beyond This Moment, the second book in the Timber Ridge Reflections series, also landed on the bestseller lists (read an excerpt), and is being followed in August 2010 by Within My Heart, the third and final book in that series. Read a personal note from Tamera on that upcoming release.

After living in Colorado for seventeen years, Tamera has returned to her Southern roots. She and her husband now make their home in Nashville with Tamera's father, Doug. They enjoy life there with Joe and Tamera's two adult children, and Jack, a precious—and precocious—silky terrier.
